One hour of slow, mindful movement and long-held poses that encourage. you to relax at a deep level and to let go of tension stored in the body.

The long, comfortable, resting postures coupled with relaxation and meditation techniques mean you completely absorb the profound benefits.

The room is set up with fairy lights for a warm and inviting feel and the use of aromatherapy or incense adds to the welcoming atmosphere and gentle ambient music.

You will be offered a complimentary ceremonial cacao upon arrival, this gentle heart medicine is nourishing and supports a deeper meditative state.

Chamonix is an experienced facilitator, hypnotherapist, shamanic healer and mindfulness coach who weaves various healing modalities throughout her events and provides supportive guidance and additional resources if needed.

What to bring?

Please bring your own yoga mat (if you have one) or a folded blanket or towel will do. Bolsters and yoga blocks are provided but you are welcome to bring additional props that will make you feel comfortable and cosy.

I do recommend having a water bottle and you may even like to bring a journal and pen to take some notes after your session as this is a wonderful opportunity for introspection.

What are the benefits?

Yin yoga is perfect for releasing tension in the musculature of the body, working deep into our connective tissue or fascia. Not only is this good for our muscles and joints, but it helps to release toxins and blocked energy in the body.

Having time and space to just be present, with ourselves, and deeply rest can assist the process of healing, assist with emotional clarity and mental health.

Studies have shown that yin yoga can even assist in weight loss as it decreases cortisol in the body.

What is yin yoga?

Yin and Yang is a concept from Taoist philosophy focusing on the harmony between opposing forces. Some examples of this could be light/dark, masculine/feminine, open/closed, hard/soft, fire/water, quiet/loud, etc.

In Taoist philosophy, Yin represents the feminine side with Yin poses being calm, still, and held for longer durations with a focus on deeper connective tissue.

A regular practice alleviates stress, regulates the nervous system and restores your energy levels as well as improving flexibility and boosting circulation.

If you are considering attending, please know that you are welcome here just as you are, no experience is necessary.

Rejuvenating for both mind and body.
